New & Specialty Items

On this page, you can check to see if that part you've been waiting for the aftermarket to come out with is available. We're constantly trying to find new parts from aftermarket (and OEM) sources. If you don't see what you're looking for here, give us a call & we'll check the status for you. There's been a great deal of headway made in the aftermarket parts availability in recent years, and we expect that trend to continue. We will list the parts by manufacturer to try to keep it simple. Chrysler / Dodge:

We now carry the split-nut upgraded mainshaft for the NV4500 transmission. Pricing remains the same for now, we expect to have better deals as our volume increases.

Ford:

We are stocking the ZF brake drums, reman for $895.00 each with $200.00 core. Limited supply, but we can usually fill orders w/o any problems.

We're rebuilding the ZF 6 speed units now, and we try to keep at least one each of the various configurations on the shelf. Reman runs $2250.00 exchange, $600.00 core.

We now carry Brand New World Class T-5's for the Ford Mustang.

GM:

We have the new, T56 six speeds for aftermarket applications. These have mechanical speedo gears and are a direct replacement for the '83-'87 Camaro with the T5. We also have the special configuration T56 that puts the shifter forward so you can install it in a late '60s to early '70s muscle car, replacing the old 4 speed. Although no actual testing has been done by us, we believe that these units will also fit in place of the GM 1/2 ton pickup 5 speeds. This is a double overdrive unit that has a final drive of .62 to one. See our T56 page for more info.

The SuperCase for Muncie 4 speed transmissions is now available. This case has been designed by Auto Gear Equipment to provide the strength that the original cases just couldn't. Using 356T6 aluminum, they have put additional material in the case walls and more support in the front bearing area. This enables the use of a wider, 307 bearing for the input shaft. Other changes include thicker mounting ears, straight thread fill and drain plugs, and a counterbore w/ plug to keep the front countershaft from leaking. If you have a numbers case, you owe it to yourself to use the SuperCase, to keep the numbers case from getting wiped out. If your case is anything special, it just makes sense to upgrade to the new SuperCase.
